  • c. 2370 BCE, Mount Hekla [H-4] erupts. Hekla is a stratovolcano in the south of Iceland with a height of 1,491 metres (4,892 ft). [H-4] produced some of the largest layers of tephra in Iceland since the last Ice Age.[1]
